Welcome to the wonderful world of crystals.

Welcome to the wonderful world of crystals.💎💎💎

My own journey with crystals –

My own journey, with crystals began as a child, when my Mum would gift them to me, usually as a birthstone or a chakra, bracelet, the card that came with them would say something like “ To Calm the mind” or “ Gives strength and prosperity”, so it was from a very young age, I learnt that crystals were special and also looked very pretty on my wrist, and on my window shelf.

It was about 10 years ago, when I started introducing crystals into my yoga and meditation practice, I started to learn about the real powers of crystals and manifestations, and how they could assist me in healing myself from various problems, life had given me from divorce, grief and depression.

I’m often receive crystals as gifts, and gift them to others, I feel I’m always learning, there are so many crystals on the market and new ones being found all the time, with new energetic frequencies to work with. I decided I wanted to learn even more about these magical earth wonders, so with further studies, and a slight obsession with books, I completed a Crystal healing diploma, and Advanced crystal healing practitioner diploma. Since completing these courses, I now offer group and one to ones healing sessions using the crystals to cleanse the auric field and balance the 7 main chakras.

Crystal tool kit – A beginner’s guide.

I have a number of crystals, that I feel are great for a beginner but these are the main ones I recommend.

  • Clear Quartz – (The healer) known as the “master healer” is always ready to amplify and be programmed to suit your purposes. This is all purpose crystal, promotes clear, thinking, and can be used to improve concentration and focus, making it useful for meditation and studying the clear quartz is associated with the crown chakra.
  • Amethyst – (The mystic) A good all-rounder, also a master healer Amethyst brings spiritual wisdom, intuition and serenity. Purple and violet has long been used to symbolise magic, mastery and spirituality. Amethyst is an extremely powerful and protected stone with a high, spiritual vibration, guards against psychic attack transmuting energy into love. It’s serenity enhances higher State of consciousness and meditation. It’s associated with the third eye chakra.
  • Rose Quartz- ( The romantic) is the stone of unconditional love and infinite. It’s the most important crystals for the heart and the heart chakra, teaching the true essence of love purifies and opens a heart attack at all levels and brings deep in a healing and self-love. It’s calming, reassuring and excellent for use in trauma or crisis. If you want to retract love look no further than the romantic rose quartz.
  • Citrine- (The enthusiast) the crystal of vitality, energy and enthusiasm, confidence the power house crystal is associated with the solar plexus chakra, this is a crystal with buckets of positivity and healing potential, a cup of sunshine, unlike darker crystals, that are thought to absorb negative energy, citrine is thought to change the bad into good, turn lemons into lemonade kind of vibe. it’s the ultimate manifestation crystal for abundance, self belief, true, prosperity, joy, and passion, and wealth attractor.
  • Carnelian- (The muse) sunset, oranges to burnt brown. The warming tones of the red carnelian can be felt deep in the bones and find the source of burning passions. Aligned with the sacral chakra, located in the lower abdomen, sought to hold sexual and creative energy, the red carnelian can help to rekindle, deep desires or spark new pleasures, this crystal was once thought to be the stone of fertility by ancient Egyptians, but whether it is starting a family or being comfortable with your own sexual identity, the red carnelian could help add warmth and excitement to your desires. Carnelian was once known as “ blood of Isis’ Isis a central goddess in Egyptian mythology, symbolises, motherhood, magic, and healing.
  • Tigers eye (The stabiliser) tigers eye is the route of grounding courage. Linked to the root chakra, located at the base of the spine. Earthy browns, dark greens , and hypnotising gold. A stone of luck and good fortune wearing Tigers eye will attract a steady flow of abundance to you. It’s ideal for setting out in business for the first time and also engaging in any new enterprise or seeking major career changes in the future. Carry with you to boost quick thinking, good judgement, and sizing up someone’s character.
  • Obsidian (black) – ( The protector) A strongly protective healing crystal, obsidian is a powerful cleanser of your aura and has many metaphysical properties that will protect you against negativity. The energy of the Stones has also been known to stimulate the gift of prophecy. Black obsidian raises the kundalini energy, it promotes vitality, virility, and brotherhood. Wearing a black obsidian bracelet is believed to offer benefits related to protection, grounding and emotional balance by acting as a shield against negative energy and stress. It sought to help with mental clarity and to exhort tension promoting a more focused and fearless state of mind. It can also help with energetic protection and stability by connecting to the root chakra. I personally wear my bracelet on my right hand, as some traditions, suggest wearing on the right hand for giving energy and tapping into intuition.

Final Thoughts:

Begin with curiosity…

Crystal healing is a journey of intuition, connection, and energetic exploration.

There is no “right way to begin- just follow what feels aligned. Let’s each crystal be a teacher, a mirror and a companion on your path.

Meditation

Meditating at the beach is my favourite place to calm my mind, body and soul.

Learning to meditate seems quite overwhelming or something out of reach for most people.

But did you know there are many types of meditations that are also easily accessible!

I personally find guided meditations the easiest form to practice, as you just simply have to find a quiet spot and listen.

They can take as little as a few minutes in your day, and can bring you many health benefits, that help you achieve equilibrium in mind, body and soul.

There are so many available online, that you can that you can download for free, the link below is a personal favourite of mine, it’s a guided meditation for powerful positivity, peace, focus. A positive mind in 10 minutes.

The kids love their park yoga.

Kids yoga:

During a children’s yoga class there is complete absence of judgement and competition, doing a yoga pose ‘ perfectly’ or better then another is not to the aim of yoga. This is unconditional positive regard and encouragement creates a nourishing environment, allowing children to relax and have fun whilst developing strength, coordination, flexibility and balance, as well as increasing body awareness, concentration and self-esteem. There is increasing evidence to support the vast benefits of yoga practice for children.

Baby Massage

Infant massage provides the opportunity for parents to tune into their babies, communicate love and security. It’s enables the crucial process of bonding and an infant’s understanding of action/reaction and the foundation’s of empathy.

Massaged babies are happy babies

A little history:

The therapeutic effects of massage on adults have been known for a long time, but only in recent years, in the West have people realised that children can benefit from massage as well. In parts of Africa, Asia, and south and central America, women have massaged their babies for centuries.

The teaching of infant massage is part of the Ayurvedic medicine system. Ayurveda originated in ancient India and formed the foundation for many alternative treatments used today.

Baby massage is now widely recognised as an ancient art and practised that bonds and connects the baby and massager.

Baby massage benefits:

• Relives pain caused by colic and constipation

• Calms irritable babies

• Improves circulation

• Eases teething

• Helps baby sleep better as they are in a calm state.

Massage stimulates the release of the bodies natural feel-good chemical oxytocin. When oxytocin floods the body, it helps a mother and baby form a close bond.
